A Bachelor Party Brewery Crawl in San Diego

James Williamson · Oct 14, 2026

A brewery crawl is the most underrated bachelor party plan in San Diego. It fixes the two things that wreck every other plan: nobody has to get in anywhere, and the whole thing happens in daylight.

We map 50 breweries across 17 neighborhoods. You want one cluster. Not a tour of the county.

North Park, and nobody drives

Seven breweries within about fifteen minutes of walking. No rides, no doors, no cover.

Start at Blind Lady Ale House — 4.7 stars, serious pizza, and happy hour Friday 3 to 6 and Saturday 12 to 6 at $6 beers. A six-hour Saturday window is the single best thing on this page for a group.

North Park Beer Company runs Monday to Thursday 4 to 6. TapRoom Beer Company goes Monday to Friday 3 to 6. Original 40 is 4.7, daily 4 to 6, $2 off beer and wine. Belching Beaver does $5 pints on Tuesdays and is dog-friendly, if somebody brought one.

Halfway through, Coin-Op Game Room gives the group something to do that isn't drinking — arcade games, daily 5-to-7 happy hour at $5 wells. Seven Grand is the whiskey room when someone wants to stop drinking beer.

Or Oceanside, if the group wants ocean

Eight breweries, and it rates better than most people expect. Stone Brewing Tap Room is 4.7. Craft Coast Beer & Tacos is 4.6 and handles lunch at the same time. Belching Beaver Oceanside runs $5 Pint Tuesdays all day. Jellyfish_ shows which of the seven has room for the group, so the walk between them is a decision instead of a lap.

Carlsbad is the other North County option, with nine. Pure Project at 4.9 is the highest-rated brewery on our map.

The trade: neither is walkable end to end the way North Park is. So you need one person not drinking, or a ride between two stops.

Jellyfish_ shows you how many people are at the bars.

The rules that keep it upright

Then what

The crawl is the afternoon, not the night. Eat in between. Waterfront Bar & Grill in Little Italy takes a crowd without ceremony, and Turf Supper Club in East Village lets you grill your own steak over a communal fire pit, which is an activity more than a meal. Then the Gaslamp if that's the plan, with everyone inside by 9. It's usually full by 10PM, and the doors get strict exactly when a large group wants to move.

Taproom hours move more than bar hours do, so treat all of this as a shortlist rather than a promise. And if you want to know which one has room for eight before you walk over, that's what we built the app for. Jellyfish_ is free, it's new, and you're early — people check in while they're out, and that's what updates it.

Which of these is actually busy tonight?

A list tells you where to go. It can't tell you which of these is packed at 10:40 on a Friday, or which one already emptied out — that's the part Jellyfish_ is built for.

Jellyfish is live on the App Store — free, and built in San Diego.
